Ordering repeat prescriptions online by registering for online access
By far the best way to order repeat prescriptions is to use the NHS App (please note this is NOT the covid track and trace app). You can download this and register for online access to your record all from your phone and without having to come in to the practice or fill in any forms. By registering online like this you can see the medicines on your repeat and request them easily. From our end it is the most efficient system, and the least likely to result in any errors so we will be able to deal with your request more quickly.
You can also register for online access by calling into reception to collect a registration form. You will need to bring proof of identity with you - we will need photo identification such as a driving licence or passport, and proof of address such as a utility bill. All adults will have to come to the surgery in person to register for on line access, and due to confidentiality guidelines, we regret that we are unable to allow children under 16 years old to register for internet access.
The current system of on line ordering repeat prescriptions through our website will run in tandem with the new system for the foreseeable future. Patients who have already registered for on line booking of appointments do not need to re-register.
Ordering repeat prescriptions without registering for online access
You are about to proceed to the area on this website where you can order repeat prescriptions. Please note that this website is not encrypted and so the security is the same as when sending a standard e mail. It is now possible to anonymise your request by using your Binscombe patient identification number. This is a five digit code located on the top right hand corner of your repeat prescription slip. This number is unique to your records at Binscombe. Alternatively, you can order the prescription by using your name, address and date of birth. If you have any concerns about confidentiality in using this service we would suggest you order your repeat prescriptions in the usual way. Click here for further details regarding this.
