Doctors at Binscombe
The team of doctors at Binscombe include seven partners as well as salaried doctors and doctors who are undertaking GP training. Doctors in training are qualified doctors who are specialising in General Practice and generally spend two years with us as part of a three year training scheme, working as part of the team and supervised by one of the GP Trainers.
Dr Andrew Cook

Dr Cook will become a salaried GP under the GP retention scheme from October 24, having worked as a Partner at the practice for over 30 years. He continues to help with GP training and maintains an interest in upper limb orthopaedic problems and soft tissue/joint injections

Dr O'Donnell joined the practice in 1995. He has a special interest in diabetes, and runs the diabetic clinic at the practice. He also looks after any medical students attached to the practice. He has been a GP appraiser for many years, and is a Senior Appraiser for NHS England. He has been the Clinical Director for East Waverley PCN since 2021.
Dr O'Donnell looks after residents at Pilgrim Wood Care Home.

Dr Michael Walker

Dr Walker has a special interest in minor surgery and performs a weekly minor surgery list at the practice as well as joint injections. He is the lead doctor for Christopher's Children's Hospice, for which we provide 24 hour medical cover.
Usual work days: Monday, alternate Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday
Dr Brunet has a special interest in respiratory medicine and is the lead in this area for the practice. He is a GP Trainer and worked for many years as Programme Director for the Guildford GP training course. He stepped down from this role in 2019 in order to write about the GP consultation. His book The GP Consultation Reimagined: a Tale of Two Houses published by Scion Publishing in June 2020. He is active on social media, posting regularly on topics related to mental health on Instagram and TikTok. His new book on anxiety and burnout has been written for the general public rather than the medical profession, and is due for publication in March 2025.

Dr Pidgeon has a special interest in gynaecology and family planning. Her coil and implant fitting clinic are on Thursday mornings.

Dr Clare Grove

Dr Grove is a GP Trainer and also has a special interest in women's health, including menopause and breast cancer. She fits implants as part of this role.
Dr Grove looks after our patients at Robertson's Nursing Home.

Dr Orihashi joined the practice on a permanent basis from September 2020 after completing her GP training at Binscombe. She has a passion for mental health and wellbeing, as well as care for older adults.
She looks after our patients at Eastlake Care Home.

Dr Jameson has a special interest in the health of women and children and also works as a GP appraiser and a Senior Appraiser.

Dr Mukoko completed her training at Binscombe. She joined the practice on a permanent basis in November 2021.

Dr Bull joined the practice in 2004, initially as a retainer, then as a salaried doctor and now does locum work at least one day a week. Her special interest is women's health and family planning.
