FLU & COVID VACCINATIONS – SATURDAY 24TH OCTOBER

Our main flu vaccination clinic this year will be held at the surgery on Saturday 24th October, and we will be releasing appointments soon.

Please do not contact us to book. We will be sending eligible patients a text message with a link allowing you to book your appointment. Patients without a mobile phone will be contacted directly.

Those who are eligible for both the flu and autumn COVID vaccinations will be able to have both vaccines together at the surgery during the same appointment. If you are eligible for both, your invitation will give you the appropriate booking option.

Who is eligible?

FLU VACCINATION

Flu vaccination is available to a wide range of eligible patients, including those aged 65 and over, pregnant women, and younger patients with certain long-term health conditions or other eligible circumstances.

COVID VACCINATION

The eligibility criteria for the autumn COVID vaccination are more limited. It will be offered to:

• Adults aged 75 years and over

• Residents in a care home for older adults

• People aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed

Please note that being eligible for a flu vaccination does not necessarily mean you are also eligible for a COVID vaccination.

If you are eligible for both, we will offer you the opportunity to have your flu and COVID vaccinations together at the same appointment.

If you are eligible for flu but not COVID, you will receive a link to book a flu-only appointment.

We very much hope that our patients will choose to have their vaccinations here at the surgery with our practice team. Flu vaccines have to be ordered many months in advance based on our expected uptake, so booking with us also helps us to make the best use of the vaccines we have ordered for our patients.

Please keep an eye on your mobile phone for your invitation and booking link. Invitations will be sent to eligible patients soon, so there is no need to contact us in the meantime.
