Following our inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in October, we were absolutely delighted to receive the report this month, and to hear that we have been rated 'Outstanding' for the second time! Out of over 100 practices in Surrey Heartlands, we are currently one of only three to have an outstanding rating, and so this is a very special achievement. The CQC recently issued a press release to announce their report, and we were especially pleased with how they described the practice:

"When we inspected Binscombe Medical Centre, we found a practice that puts people at the heart of everything it does. Staff didn't just treat people with kindness, they went above and beyond to ensure everyone could access the care they needed in a way that worked for them."

The report particularly highlighted the categories of being 'Caring' and 'Responsive', which we are especially pleased with, since it resonates so much with our values at Binscombe.

We are extremely proud of the whole team and know how hard they work to make Binscombe Medical Centre such a special place, and are grateful to all our patients for the support and encouragement you so often give us. Many patients took the time to feed back to the CQC as part of their inspection process and the comments were described as 'overwhelmingly positive' - thank you so much! Your feedback in the annual national patient survey was also key to the CQC's findings, and we are always so humbled and encouraged when we receive our survey results and are reminded of the high regard with which so many of our patients hold us.

We know that this is only one judgement and that we need to keep working to maintain this standard, and that there will always be areas where we can improve, but for now this feels like a good way to end the year!

We would like to wish all our patients a very Happy Christmas and very best wishes for 2026.
