Fit Note Data

The Health and Social Care Information Centre is collecting anonymised data on patients who have been issued with a fit note under the Fit for Work scheme. The data is being collected by the GP Systems of Choice (GPSoC) programme, on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions, to inform policy relating to employment and sickness absence. General practices are legally obliged to provide the data under the Health and Social Care Act 2012.
